The Ultimate in Confidence: Bi-fuel
Bi-Fuel is the simultaneous use of two different fuels to power the engine on a standby generator set. For Bi-Fuel operation, Generac uses a mixture of diesel fuel and natural gas (NG) in a diesel engine. Generac’s Bi-Fuel generators are EPA certified from the factory – designed by the experts with proven technology. All other Bi-fuel systems are aftermarket systems retrofitted in the field. Benefits of a Generac Bi-fuel system include:
- Dramatically extended run times with available on-site supply of diesel fuel
- Lower costs of ownership – typically include lower maintenance and fuel costs
- Improved reliability with redundant fuel supply
- Smaller diesel fuel storage footprint
- Reduced fuel maintenance
- Lower exhaust emissions than diesel engines
- Code compliant for NFPA 110 and NEC 700
Generac offers Bi-Fuel generators at 500 kW and 600 kW. Or if more power is needed, connect several generators in parallel as part of a Generac Modular Power System (MPS). Contact us to learn more about this great standby power solution.
